Delegation from Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) in association with JETRO KTI are likely on trade visit to Orissa.
Kita-Kyushu is in the south of Japan , in the prefecture of Fukuoka . It is renowned for medium sized companies in the steel sector, and also for their strong business leadership and decision making. Mr. Yangchow is the Chief Director, JETRO KTI (Kita-Kyushu trade and Investment Center). They are planning to send a 15-20 member mission to India in November on steel machinery and trade/ investment. The deligation is likely to visit to Orissa and discuss various investment/ trade related issues with IPICOL & GoO officials. Mission members would be mainly medium size Japanese companies, president/owners. The area of interest is mainly steel, including stainless, all issues related to Aluminum, & Coal.

The Flyash & Blast Furnace Slag Mission Orissa was launched on 14th May by Minister Industries Sri Biswa Bhushan Harichandan in its 1st meeting held at Hotel Crown.10 out of the 15 members of the mission were present.The innaguration was held in a workshop mode,attended by 75 participants from steel,cement,power companies,govt departments,public sectors,Industry associations and press.Presentations were made by NTPC,NALCO,ACC,OCL,RRL,NGO body.Dr.Bimal Kumar,Adviser.TIFAC made key note address.The group discussion was steered by Secretary, Industries,GoO.
